Pemex and private oil production closed December at its lowest level of the year.<\/p>\n
National oil production decreased by 1.04% or 17 thousand barrels per day during the month of December compared to the previous month, according to the monthly extraction report of the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH).<\/p>\n
This is the lowest level of oil production nationwide in all of 2023, however, compared to December 2022, production increased by just 0.49%.<\/p>\n
According to the regulator's data, crude oil production in December of the state-owned oil company averaged 1,528,000 barrels per day, adding the production of partners.<\/p>\n
Of the total production of liquid hydrocarbons, one million 805 thousand barrels correspond to the state productive company and 98 thousand barrels to private companies that operate blocks in shallow, deep and land waters in the national territory. The production of migrations was 121 thousand barrels. While those of the bidding rounds reached 62 thousand barrels per day and farmouts 10 thousand barrels per day.<\/p>\n
According to the CNH, 52% of the country's oil production, equivalent to 992 thousand barrels, comes from 7 fields, all of them belonging to Pemex. The fields with the highest production in the country are Maloob, Quesqui, Zaap, Tupilco Profundo, Ayatsil, Balam and Xanab.<\/p>\n
