Third modification of allocation ae-0142-3m - Comalcalco, budget tripled
Yesterday afternoon the national hydrocarbons commission approved a modification to the assignment ae-0142-3m-comalcalco presented by Pemex, which consists of exploration and extraction activities. Initially the estimated budget for the first scenario was 49.66 million dollars, but with the current modification it is expected to increase to 158.49 million dollars.
The alteration of said plan was due to the emergence and variation of the number of wells to be drilled, its purpose is to continue with the incorporation of reserves and the evaluation of the oil potential of the Lower Pliocene, Upper Miocene and Cretaceous plays, through 3D seismic processing, exploratory studies and drilling of exploratory wells in the base and incremental operating scenarios, said company will be solely responsible for this area of assignment, as well as for providing all personnel, technology, materials and financing.
All of this represents an ample possibility of reserve discovery for the southeastern basins oil province.
Pemex will invest up to $158 million dollars in exploratory works in Tabasco
