The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) declared the expiration of 205 permits for different activities related to the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) industry for lack of activity for at least one year.

Last Friday, the Commission published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), in its evening edition, Agreement A/077/2023 declaring the expiration of 205 (two hundred and five) permits for various liquefied petroleum gas activities, pursuant to Article 55, Section I, paragraph b) of the Hydrocarbons Law.

In the Fourth Consideration of the Agreement, the CRE explained that it reviewed and analyzed the documentation in the electronic and physical files associated with each of the 205 permits to find that the permit holders have not carried out the licensed activity for a consecutive period of at least three hundred and sixty-five calendar days, since there is no evidence or record that reliably proves that they have carried out the activity conferred in the permit titles, which was found within the review period from January 1, 2022 to July 14, 2023.
