Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) will start early production in two wells in the Tentok field, associated with assignment 153 Uchukil.
The above, as a result of the authorization received this Tuesday from the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) for its Transition Program related to said field.
These are the Tentok-2, Tentok-3 and Tentok-4 wells, where the necessary production infrastructure will be built and dynamic reservoir information will be acquired during the period from February 2024 to January 2025.
In that period, the volume to be recovered will be 2.51 million barrels of oil and 1.06 billion cubic feet of gas, the CNH said.
For this purpose, the Tentok-A Platform, an oil pipeline and a Major Repair Area (RMA) will be built, with a total estimated cost of US$82.60 million. Therefore, expectations for this field tend to be very high at the national level for Mexico.
