Drilling of the Exploratory Well Yawa-1EXP by Pemex

The National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) has authorized Pemex Exploration and Production (PEP) to drill the Yawa-1EXP exploratory well in Veracruz. This well, located near Poza Rica, aims to find hydrocarbons in the Tamabra Formation. With a depth between 2,147 and 2,547 meters and a 43% probability of success, it is expected to discover 4.7 million barrels of crude oil equivalent. Drilling and completion will require a total of 64 days, with an estimated cost of US$9 million.
