Do you know who sets the minimum wage?
In Mexico, the National Minimum Wage Commission (Comisión Nacional de los Salarios Mínimos or CONASAMI) is responsible for setting minimum wages. This agency works through the Council of Representatives, which is comprised of representatives of the labor, management and government sectors. The Council is installed in permanent session at the end of the year to determine the minimum wage.
