AMDE presents its new digital magazine: EnerLex

AMDE members during the official presentation of the digital magazine EnerLex.

The Mexican Association of Energy Law (AMDE) announced the launching of EnerLex, a digital magazine designed as a modern space for the analysis, dissemination and exchange of specialized knowledge in Energy Law.

This new publication is part of the Association's digital publishing platform and strengthens the objectives promoted under the presidency of Dante San Pedro YamilThe main objectives of the event are: to promote intelligent analysis, generate high-level discussion, encourage the participation of the energy sector and build an environment of sustained debate through different formats and events.

During the commemoration of the 25th anniversary of AMDE, The meeting, held on November 11, San Pedro Yamil announced that the editorial project will be directed by Erik Manuel Priego Brito, The Association's secretary.


A quarter of a century of evolution

In his commemorative message, San Pedro Yamil highlighted that AMDE has reached a point of institutional maturity that positions it as a national reference in energy matters. He explained that, throughout these 25 years, the association has extended its scope to technical, environmental, social and business areas, consolidating its relevance within the country's energy ecosystem.

For the members, he pointed out, this anniversary represents a moment of strategic assessment: to review the road travelled, analyze the present and project new goals. He stressed the importance of strengthening the values that distinguish the Association, encouraging the active participation of its members and taking advantage of new technologies -including artificial intelligence- to expand the spaces for communication, interaction and dissemination of legal knowledge.

The event brought together prominent leaders in the energy sector, including academics, consultants, scientists, jurists, representatives of public and private organizations, as well as specialists with a long history in the industry.

Among the attendees were figures such as Israel Hurtado, former president of AMDE, who recalled the Association's fundamental role in the transition of the oil industry to a broader energy sector, as well as its contribution in regulatory issues and academic training. He also recalled that AMDE's members were pioneers in the creation of the first Diploma in Energy Law in Mexico, in collaboration with the Escuela Libre de Derecho.


EnerLex: a space for analysis and debate

During the presentation, Erik Priego Brito explained that EnerLex will be published bimonthly and will be available exclusively in digital format as of January 2026. The platform will include an open forum for the exchange of ideas, opinions and critical analysis between specialists and readers.

The objective, he said, is to broaden the community interested in energy law, encourage interaction and give a voice to professionals and actors in the sector, creating a space where dialogue adds value and generates collective knowledge.

In addition, it was presented to the Editorial Board, The members of the Board of Directors are recognized experts in the energy, legal and environmental fields. Among them are:

Cynthia Bouchot, Sergio Ampudia, Carlos de María, Noé Pascacio, Laura Chong, Fluvio Ruíz, Diana Pineda and Erik Priego Brito.
