Today, February 8, 2020, the Official Gazette of the Federation published the following:
To establish the safety conditions of the machinery and equipment used in the work centers, as well as their protection devices, in order to prevent work risks and protect workers and the work center facilities.
This Standard is applicable throughout the national territory and applies to all work centers where, due to the nature of their processes or workers' activities, machinery and equipment operating in a fixed location with moving parts is installed, operated, overhauled, maintained, tested, and removed from service.
This Standard does not apply to work centers or activities in which, due to the nature of the processes or activities of the workers, the machinery or equipment does not operate in a fixed place.
In order to mark the existence of both sexes in this draft Mexican Official Standard, we have chosen to use the classic generic masculine, in the understanding that all mentions in such gender always represent both men and women.
