Pemex did award 27 contracts to Baker Hughes that it had denied after the publication of “Casa Gris”.
Pemex awarded 27 contracts for 150 million pesos to Baker Hughes“ Houston division in the first four months that José Ramón López Beltrán lived in ”La Casa Gris", reveal documents that remained hidden and that Mexicans Against Corruption and Impunity (MCCI) managed to declassify.
The new documents obtained by MCCI deny the version of Baker Huges, who after the publication of the report “La Casa Gris” in January 2022, denied any conflict of interest, arguing that its division in the United States -for which Schilling worked- had no business relations with Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).
“During his time at Baker Hughes, he (Schilling) worked under our North America group and, within Baker Hughes, Mexico is not under the North America group,” said Bob Perez, president of the company in our country, in a statement made on February 21, 2022.
