Private companies broke records in terms of their contributions to the Mexican Petroleum Fund (FMP) by reaching the sum of 6 billion 237 million pesos (mmdp) last December, the highest since 2015.
This was mainly due to the fact that the amount of taxes on commercialization reached 5 thousand 995 billion pesos in the same month, also the highest amount ever.
This concept has the largest share in the contributions made by private contracts to the Mexican State.
During 2023, private operators delivered a total of 49.962 billion pesos, of which 43.951 billion, or 87.9 percent, corresponded to commercialization taxes.
However, last year's annual amount was 15 percent lower than in fiscal year 2022, when 58,821 billion pesos were delivered to the Federation.
