The Climate Change Committee of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies approved amendments to the General Law on Climate Change to promote the use of electric and hybrid vehicles through substitution programs and tax incentives. This initiative seeks to modernize the vehicle fleet and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, establishing a goal of reducing them from 22% to 35% by 2030. With these changes, Mexico is moving towards more sustainable mobility, facing challenges such as acquisition costs and charging infrastructure, in an effort to meet its international environmental commitments and improve air quality.
