The Olmeca refinery in Dos Bocas is about to start processing crude oil in the coming weeks, with diesel as its first product, according to Reinaldo Wences of Pemex TRI.
Commercial production of diesel and gasoline will reach its maximum capacity by the end of March, stated Octavio Romero, Pemex's CEO. Despite President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's previous expectations, significant fuel production has been delayed.
Maximum capacity of 340 thousand barrels per day is expected in the third quarter of 2024.
