During the past 15th Ordinary Session the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) unanimously authorized the exploration plan and the work program and budget for 2024 for contract CNH-R03-L01-AS-CS-13/2018, covering 470.579 square kilometers off the coasts of Veracruz and Tabasco, which is valid until 2048, which will allow Pemex to drill up to five shallow water wells near Tonalá and Sánchez Magallanes.
