Dear readers, taking advantage of the fact that tomorrow is Mother's Day, it is pertinent to dedicate this article to working mothers, who make up 72.9 % of the country's labor force, this is clearly not said by me but by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, in the country better known by its acronym (INEGI), this percentage force is part of 15 million 785 thousand. “WORKING MOTHERS”, which evidently means that mothers who work in formal or informal jobs, with the payment of their work, support their families, children's education, payment of services, etc., Just as many are heads of family, those who bring support to the home, in the same way it is made known that the sources of work have the obligation to respect the labor rights in equal conditions to working mothers, this is so since the Federal Labor Law itself in its article 170 and 172, expressly speaks of the rights of working mothers, Of these rights, of course, there is the right to “pregnancy” leave, a period of time of six weeks before and six weeks after childbirth, and they also have the right in the event that their children at the time of birth have some type of different capacity or even a delicate health issue, the leave they must have is of at least eight weeks after childbirth, of course.
It should be mentioned that working mothers are a fundamental part of the economic life of the country, as can be seen in the percentage numbers already mentioned, but not all mothers know in depth what they are entitled to under the protection of labor law, in such a way that, in such rights granted, they should know that they cannot lose their recognition of seniority in the source of work, since the labor benefits enjoyed by working mothers are inalienable and cannot be negotiated, even during the period of pregnancy and in the particular case of working mothers who work as cashiers in stores or supermarkets, to mention a few, they must have a sufficient number of seats and chairs, which must always be available to the working mothers, at the expense of the work source and/or employer, In such a way that the aforementioned rights are of mandatory application and always for the benefit of working mothers, we must not lose sight of the fact that many of them are not only heads of household, but in several cases they have positions of direction, command and high responsibility in their jobs, which makes the effort of working mothers even more praiseworthy, This is so and should always keep in mind that the performance or sacrifices of many, today we have doctors, engineers, architects, veterinarians, lawyers, and various trades, in which we perform some, the above article is a small tribute to our working mothers who tomorrow will celebrate their day, but this should be a daily recognition of this great labor figure that are the “WORKING MOTHERS”...
So much for this week's comments, we'll see you next week...
